Silica sol is a colloidal solution of amorphous silica dispersed in water. Because of the surface reactive hydroxyl group of silica, it can be bonded with carboxyl, amino and ester groups.

Application field of silica sol:

1.It is used for coating,improving the hardness and quick drying performance of the coating, and improving its high temperature, corrosion resistance,Water resistance. 2.It is used in industries with high requirements for particle size uniformity and high surface activity for papermaking, so as to improve paper fiber.The adhesion rate and adhesion of dimension can be applied to the paper and lifted for the post-treatment of finished paper.High gloss and ink absorption, used in corrugated paper, can improve its friction resistance. 3.It is used for precision casting and shell making process, and the shell is resistant to high temperature to 1640 , and the shell making strength is improved. 4.It is used for ceramic surface treatment, so that polishing brick, marble brick, quartz brick and so on can improve the surface gloss and pollution resistance. 5.It is used for the molecular sieve catalysts such as oil and coal to form the main molecular framework of the catalyst carrier. 6.For refractories, such as for glass, refractory for wires, and in refractory fibers.
